 Pearl is a Pokemon Trainer and Adventurer that discover places that are secret and undiscovered. Father of Norman, a Gym Leader of Petalburg City, she doesn't see her Father too often; because Norman is busy with his work and Pearl is living in Littleroot Town where her Mother is. Pearl first appear on the Poketales Adventures Special: Jirachi Returns, when she bumped Henry accidentally. Pearl thought she was in the Millennuim Festival but in Forina instead. Her First Pokemon was Shaymin, who was lost in a Wanderer Forest and found several Gracidea Flowers beside.  After knowing it's incredible forms and powers, Pearl decided to keep it before Crime Teams like Team Altos, Magma and Aqua discovered it. Shaymin wakes up and asked if Shaymin can be Pearl's pokemon and Shaymin agreed. This makes Shaymin offcially owns Pearl.
