Maxie is the leader of Team Magma, and created it in order to claim Groudon and expand the landmass of Hoenn.

History

Maxie createdTeam Magma for the sole purpose of using Groudon to create more land in Hoenn. Before this he, Archie, andAldreac where friends but had differing views on how the world should be, they split up to take their different paths many years ago, and while his views are directly opposite to Archie's, he and Aldreac still keep in touch, with Aldreac lending him some of his men(under the guise of Team Magma grunts), to aid Maxie and Team Magma.

Maxie uses a variety of pokemon but mainly focuses of Fire, Ground, and Rock pokemon.
